Job Description Summary

The IT Network AND Telecom Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s network and telecommunications infrastructure, utilizing their expertise in at least one of the relevant technologies to ensure optimal reliability and performance of supported IT solutions at JHAH.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement configure maintain support and monitor the organizations IT network and telecommunications infrastructure including routers switches wireless access points LAN WAN VPN IPT VoIP videoconferencing collaboration platforms and other digital communications resources to ensure they are reliable stable scalable secure and perform optimally
• Perform regular IT network and telecom infrastructure capacity and bandwidth assessments to plan for any projected increase or decrease in utilization of resources
• Ensure that IT network and telecom infrastructure complies with relevant best practices regulatory requirements enterprise architecture standards governance programs and cybersecurity policies
• Manage engagements with contracted vendors for IT network and telecom infrastructure support managed services or professional services to ensure that service delivery meets the targeted scope time cost and quality constraints
• Investigate and resolve IT network and telecom infrastructure related incidents in compliance with the organizations relevant policies and procedures
• Fulfill IT network and telecom infrastructure related service requests in compliance with the organizations relevant policies and procedures
• Evaluate and process IT demand requests involving IT network and telecom infrastructure and support fulfillment of those that are approved in compliance with relevant policies and procedures and by following the organizations IT project management framework
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in the field of Information Technology or in a relevant field.

Professional Certifications Required

Sample of preferred certifications: .-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) .-Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS) .-CompTIA Network+ .-Cisco Certified Internetwork Expet (CCIE) .-Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals .-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) .-Project Management Professional (PMP) .-IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

Years of Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field.
