JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to provide project management, as well as policy and program analysis for the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, as well as the departments under the SVP’s purview (CAO Portfolio), which include:

  • Office of External Affairs (OEA)

  • Real Estate, Infrastructure, Services & Enterprises (RISE)

  • Real Estate Development and Capital Asset Management (REDCAM)

  • Physical Facilities Management (PFM)

  • Auxiliary Enterprises

  • Enterprise Technology Services (ETS)

  • Office of Human Resources (OHR)

  • Department of Public Safety (DPS)

  • Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS/S)

  • Office of Corporate Relations (OCR)

The incumbent will report to the Assistant Vice President for Administration and will be responsible for supporting the CAO Portfolio with tactical implementation of activities and services; coordinating shared services and resources; tracking action items and follow-ups; drafting communications and presentations; and coordinating executive team meetings as needed.  

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

No supervisory authority.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Internal contacts include university executives, administrators, faculty, staff and students of the department and the University at large. External contacts include various outside stakeholders such as vendors, other universities, and external agencies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Creates, plans, develops, administers, coordinates and tracks new and/or revised projects including establishing goals, metrics, and timelines to enhance execution and implementation of priorities of the SVP and CAO cluster.   

  • Ensure that goals and objectives specified for programs and projects are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time and funding limitations, or other specifications.

  • Assists with definition of project objectives, scope development, and front-end engineering in support of the project development and execution.

  • Monitors project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion.

  • Reviews the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.

  • Prepares and presents detailed reports and development proposals.

  • Develops and facilitates workshops, meetings, or conferences with high impact on program and/or participants. Coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related work experience. 7 years of related work experience may be substituted in lieu of educational qualifications. Master’s Degree and/or project management certification preferred.

Compliance Salary Range Disclosure

Expected Salary Range: $110, 000 - $130,000
