Manager, Area Sales

This employee is responsible for sales of an area of multiple Lincare teams.  This will require extensive travel and working independently with minimum direction to obtain final results.
JOB FUNCTIONS

• Has revenue growth responsibility, the assigned area and hold management within area accountable
• This responsibility includes the interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of quality Sales Reps, Account Manager, etc.
• In conjunction with their teams, develops and submits to a regional vice president a business plan that includes sales forecasts, expense budgets, capital budgets, general business plans, salary budget, and manpower projections
• Responsible for oversite of asset management, inventories, fixed investment, and rolling stock
• Provides a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Ensures that area of responsibility is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations dealing with DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA, and other agencies
• Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement understanding, including government and private payer
• Maintains a knowledge of the respiratory market and provides updated information to regional vice president regarding activities of competition and availability of potential acquisitions within their business area
• Administers an approved salary budget in a timely and effective manner
• Ensures that locations maintain necessary policies, procedures, and records to be in compliance with accreditation requirements

Qualifications Education

• Bachelor's Degree, Required

Work Experience

• 5-7 years at Lincare or industry similar to Lincare, preferred
• 5-7 years Management, Required
• Dealing with regulatory agencies (FDA, DOT, etc.), preferred
• Sales background essential with respiratory patient-base, a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Human relations critical because position requires dealing extensively with regulatory
  personnel, referral sources, and corporate personnel
• Must be computer literate
• Requires more than a casual understanding of accounting and finance
