iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health -physical fitness, mental health, nutrition, and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their individual fitness journey.


We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a UX Design Manager in Logan or Utah or remotely.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts through artifacts, such as site maps, journey maps, storyboards, prototypes, documentation, and storytelling.
  • A great sensitivity to color, aesthetics, typography, white space, layout, etc.
  • Lead team in designing prototypes to rapidly assess the viability of ideas and potential directions or solutions.
  • Lead team in ensuring that designs are responsive and adaptable across various devices and screen sizes. Ensure a seamless and consistent experience across various tablet sizes and mobile.
  • Lead in design and implementation of micro-interactions and animations that enrich the user experience. Utilize motion design to guide user actions and provide feedback, enhancing usability and engagement.
  • Lead team in UX/UI Testing and Feedback Integration: Conduct tests and gather feedback on the visual aspects of the design. Implement improvements based on feedback and iterate on UX/UI elements to optimize the overall user experience.
  • Accessibility Considerations: Ensure the design is accessible to users with disabilities by following best practices, such as contrast ratios, scalable fonts, and other accessibility guidelines.
  • Lead in designing detailed workflows, wireframes, and prototypes to rapidly assess the viability of ideas and potential directions or solutions. Design intuitive and functional user experiences, ensuring ease of navigation and accessibility.
  • Help the team through problem solving, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts, components, products, and solutions that drive the business forward and empower our customers in their own journeys.
  • Work cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing to continuously develop understanding of the end-to-end iFIT customer journey as well as creating products that not only represent our brand but strengthen it and define it.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Help team work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility. Create a solid relationship specifically with development teams to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of design implementation. Provide support and guidance during the development process to maintain design integrity. Communicate design concepts effectively, gather feedback, and iterate designs based on insights.
  • Seek out feedback from stakeholders to drive consensus and mine for purpose, working together to derive the optimal outcome, given the constraints and priorities.
  • User Research and Analysis: Work closely with our user research and consumer insights team to conduct thorough user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Analyze data and derive insights to inform design decisions.
  • Design Evangelism: Advocate for the importance of design choices and best practices within the broader team. Communicate the rationale behind visual decisions and help others understand the impact on user experience.
  • Design System and Documentation: Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across different platforms and devices.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, CMF, and emerging technologies in industrial design. Apply this knowledge to enhance designs and processes.
Qualifications
  • Education and Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a similar design field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • 12+ years experience working with cross-functional teams to ship products and experiences that users love and derive value from
    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    • Have a growth mindset, passion for learning, and willingness to adapt and evolve your own perspective when collaborating with teammates.
    • Tremendous ID and visual design skills with the ability to tell a story
    • Having the ability to think in terms of the user life cycle.
    • Ability to take complicated workflows and elegantly streamline them
    • Appreciation of the product development process and how to effectively integrate industrial design into it
    • Ability to clearly articulate your concepts and evangelize on their behalf
    • A willingness to own problems, comfort with ambiguity, a desire to make things better, and a balanced sense of optimism and humility.
