Position Summary

The Clinical System Conversion Pharmacist is responsible for executing operational workflows as it relates to clinical mapping during transitions to new clinical systems (e.g. MEDITECH Expanse). This individual will collaborate with Division and Facility leadership to ensure the existing clinical system drug dictionary is mapped to new drug dictionary entries, procedure codes are appropriate, and enterprise standards are utilized. This position will need to effectively communicate and drive processes forward to meet goals and deadlines consistent with organizational goals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mapping of existing clinical system to new clinical system
  • Execute operational processes related to initial, and maintenance, of clinical mapping processes while ensuring clinical accuracy and financial capture/neutrality
  • Supports local pharmacy leaders in identifying changes and/or standardization that results from clinical system transition
  • Understands relationship between Pharmacy Enterprise Standard Chargemaster (ESC) and clinical system drug builds
  • Utilize data to drive decision making and improve processes
  • Collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders to improve workflow/processes impacting transition of clinical system
  • Effectively uses time and maintains focus on core responsibilities and work completion
  • Detail-oriented work output with highest level of reliability

Education & Experience:

  • Pharmacist Degree (PharmD, B.S)
  • Pharmacist license in good standing
  • At least 3 years of relevant hospital pharmacy or IT pharmacy experience
  • MEDITECH experience
