Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As a RN/LPN your patient to nursing staff ratio is three times lower than the average nursing home.  In this role you will be responsible for the following job duties: 

  • Provide direct care to patients by providing ADLs, accessing physical and mental status of patient to determine efficacy of treatment and care plan, administer medication complete all documentation, etc.
  • Prepare room preparation and room discharge of patients.
  • Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
  • Answer questions from patients and families or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.8; 32 hours per week

Work Schedule: 630am-3pm; Monday-Friday shifts will vary based on business needs; Required to work every other weekend.

Salary:  

LPN starting rate at $30.41/hour. Base pay rate is based off previous LPN work experience.

RN starting rate at $39.21/hour. Base pay rate is based off previous RN work experience.


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR Card Certification

Benefits are available for non-union staff working 24 hours (0.6 FTE) or union staff working 32 hours (0.8 FTE) per week and are effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
