As a result of significant project wins; including the design of the Konebada Petroleum Facility in Port Moresby, we have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our growing Papua New Guinea team.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced buildings Structural Engineer with registration or working towards registration to join our team based in Port Moresby for a full-time permanent position. 

Your ability to work with agility across multiple disciplines, clients and stakeholders will be pivotal to your success in the role.

The role focus will be delivery of high quality civil and structural engineering tasks for our clients.

Additionally, an ability to travel within Papua New Guinea and to identify strategic opportunities and grow businesses will be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities will include:
•    Design calculations, data analysis, evaluation using software to undertake engineering design
•    Prepare and review technical reports
•    Undertake field testing or site-based investigations
•    Coordinate site or field technical activities, including managing subcontractors
•    Consult with and manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes 
•    Lead technical delivery, coordinating a team on more complex design options
•    Act as Project Manager for routine projects, responsible for project documentation (scope of work etc.) and managing client interactions
•    Supervise the daily activities of a project or design team including allocating and checking work and providing feedback on performance
•    Work closely with the Business Group Leader and Market Leader in pursuing and converting potential opportunities
•    Prepare proposals and pricing information which may lead proposals for routine projects
•    Supervise, support and develop team members.

What you will bring to the team:
•    Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering 
•    Registered/licensed/chartered Engineer status and IEPNG membership 
•    Site Engineering experience, especially in commercial buildings construction would be highly advantageous
•    Strong understanding of applicable standards and guidelines
•    A track record for delivering exceptional client experience, and an eye for business development opportunities
•    A valid driver's license in Papua New Guinea
•    Relevant on-site credentials
•    Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders and clients across industries and disciplines
•    Knowledge in any of the following: Autodesk, AutoCAD, CIVIL 3D, Autodesk Revit, 12 D Model, Microsoft office, MS Project, MS Excel, Open Ground, gINT, Surfer, MapInfo/Arc/QGIS, Asset Vision, Esri, Rocscience, Vulcan, Hexagon, Rockwell Automation
