Position Summary
Seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, customer-focused, results-driven individual to join our sales team as a Territory Development Manager (TDM). This role combines the responsibility of generating leads and closing sales, mainly through remote engagements, with developing and maintaining a strong presence in a designated sales territory. This is a quota carrying role with additional responsibilities to execute on other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
o Meet/exceed quota for an assigned sales territory.
o Conduct outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings to identify and engage
prospective clients.
o Generate a sales opportunity pipeline of 4x+ your assigned annual quota.
o Support Major Account Managers in growing their assigned quotas.
o Attend and support industry trade shows and partner events as required.
o Qualify leads, present solutions, and close sales.
o Maintain a deep understanding of Fortinet products and services.
o Use SFDC to track pipeline, sales progress, quotes, and client interactions.
o Manage and grow a defined territory, meeting clients on-site as needed.
o Develop and execute a territory plan to meet or exceed revenue goals.
o Partner with marketing and product teams to create targeted campaigns.
o Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless handoffs and account mgmt.
o Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
o Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and territory updates.
Required Skills
o Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed an assigned quota.
o Demonstrated ability to grow accounts and develop new markets.
o Highly Motivated, self-starter individual with passion for identifying and driving
to closure revenue opportunities.
o Ability to project confidence and quickly engage individuals on calls.
o Ability to adapt quickly in conversations and pivot to changing topics.
o Strong skills with computers and sales-enablement (CRM) tools.
o Attention to detail, coachable and flexible.
o 0 to 5 years of inside or field sales experience.
o Ability to run productive customer-facing and partner-facing calls and meetings.
o Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
o Four-year college degree (preferred).
