Secondary Markets Trader

PrimeLending is looking to hire a Secondary Markets Trader. The qualified individual will be responsible for the sale and maintenance of loans in the active locked pipeline, as well as maintaining the data accuracy within the Secondary hedging and pooling software. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the proper integration of all Secondary Marketing reporting associated with the hedged and non-hedged pipelines.

• Executes trades in accordance with policies set forth by the company, investors, and broker dealers.
• Creates and manages a pipeline of securitized loans and is responsible for the optimal sale and timely settlement of those loans.
• Creates and maintains all pricing executions within Secondary systems and ensures the accuracy and integrity of such automated pricing engines. 
• Maintains accuracy within SRP recon on all loan sales.
• Generates daily ratesheets within Secondary systems. 
• Executes best efforts commitments, extensions, and relocks on products that are not hedged.
• Maintains and establishes good relationships with investors and broker dealers.
• Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Other functions as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other business-related field required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the mortgage banking or financial services industry
• Prior Capital/Secondary Markets experience required
• Working knowledge of mortgage loans and an understanding of pricing required 
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Secondary Marketing field 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels and groups within the organization
• Excellent detail orientation and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
