The Packer Collegiate Institute is looking for a Middle and Upper School Physical Education Teacher.
Anticipated start date: August 2025
The Physical Education Teacher at Packer will play a pivotal role in implementing a new vision for the Physical Education curriculum. The successful candidate will collaborate with current department members to foster growth and innovation in the program. This position involves teaching lifestyle activities, individual and team sports, and collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging lesson plans. The candidate should be committed to assessing student performance, communicating progress to families, and actively participating in professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Teaching Responsibilities:
Teach general physical education, lifestyle activities, including Pilates and Yoga, Strength and Conditioning, and individual and team sports to PreK-12th-grade students.
Collaborate with other members of the Physical Education department to create lesson plans and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
Assess student performance and write narrative reports to effectively communicate student progress to families.
Attend workshops, conferences, and meetings to engage in continuous professional development.
Middle School Duties:
Fulfill 2 Middle School duties.
Participate in the Middle School Advisory Role.
Attend Tuesday meetings from 3:30-5:00.
Coach on the Middle and/or Upper School levels (optional)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of prior teaching experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Salaries are determined based on a scale reflecting years of teaching experience and level of education.
