Job Purpose:
The University of Wyoming Transit Services Office Associate plays a critical role in our Transit Operations with assisting in the scheduling and coordination of our personnel and service obligations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties related to the Charter Transit Program. Create and manage bookings and contracts, communication with customers, records management, and billing responsibilities.
- Personnel schedule for both the Fixed-Route and Demand-Response operations. Creating and distributing weekly scheduling assignments.
- Manage the entry of all transit ridership data.
- Passenger intake and cash reconciliation for ADA Paratransit program
- Possible backup transit dispatch responsibilities and other duties may be assigned.
Supplemental Functions:
- May assist with departmental budget planning process including research and provide/prepare financial reports.
- Assist with revision of forms and office procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 2 years progressively responsible work-related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy and Federal Transit Administration Policy.
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University rules, procedures, budget management and planning
- Previous experience with public transportation federal regulations
- Previous experience with accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and/or employment.
- Experience scheduling employees and booking appointments
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Experience answering telephones, maintaining calendars, and scheduling.
- Ability use record keeping systems and procedures.
- Experience using office suite software.

WORK LOCATION:
This position is eligible for remote work and/or a flexible work schedule up to 20%.
