Job Type Full-time Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Understands how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners
• Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that facilitate active learning in accordance with school-wide curriculum goals for elementary students  
• Implementing and monitoring the school-wide Accelerated Reader program including an incentive program   
• Monitoring the Media Center and utilizing the Destiny media management program 
• Consulting, supporting and collaborating with classroom teachers to provide media support services   
• Managing student behavior in the classroom  
• Maintaining accurate and complete records of students’ progress 
• Communicating necessary information to students, colleagues, and parents regarding school-wide initiatives    
• Supporting the general school operations 
• In addition to your specific job duties, all employees are expected to participate in activities that include but are not limited to arrival and dismissal supervision, cafeteria supervision, attendance at after-hours events, and hallway duty. 
• Other duties as directed. 
• Conducts Ongoing Professional Development as needed and directed by the principal
• Works effectively with school colleagues, parents, and the community to support students’ learning and well-being.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Actively engages in professional development opportunities.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate).
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship experience).
• Successful results of criminal and employment background check and drug testing.
• Adherence to the requirements of the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.

Salary Description $57,187.50
