JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing inventory and material handling operations at the Old Harbour Terminal in Jamaica. This role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, timely issuance and receipt of materials, and adherence to corporate inventory procedures to support vessel and terminal operations. The Warehouse Specialist works in close coordination with the Logistics and Procurement teams to align material availability with delivery schedules and operational demands. The role also supports the Logistics Specialist with reverse logistics from the facilities and assists with raising material-related purchase requests. Maintaining organized, compliant, and secure warehouse environments, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring accurate documentation are critical to this role’s contribution to operational reliability and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:
- Oversee daily inventory operations across all three Jamaica-based facilities, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and spare parts.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records in the ERP system, ensuring traceability and data integrity.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks, reconciling discrepancies and reporting results.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Procurement teams to align warehouse activities with inbound deliveries and operational requirements.
- Support the Logistics Specialist in managing reverse logistics from the facilities, including packaging, documentation, and dispatch coordination.
- Raise purchase requests (PRs) for materials based on inventory levels, operational needs, or approved requisitions.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials, including segregation of critical, hazardous, or sensitive items.
- Monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment actions to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
- Issue materials based on approved work orders or requests, ensuring documentation is properly recorded and reconciled.
- Manage the return and restocking process for unused or excess materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to warehouse transactions, goods movements, and internal controls.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of local warehouse SOPs and work practices, and educate internal stakeholders on proper inventory handling, documentation, and storage procedures to ensure alignment with the company’s corporate standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in inventory management, warehousing, or materials handling is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for inventory reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with inventory or warehouse management modules within an ERP system.
- Ability to read and interpret material specifications, purchase orders, packing lists, and goods receipt documentation.
- Understanding of reverse logistics procedures and stock rotation practices.
- Familiarity with inventory classification, shelf-life tracking, and hazardous materials handling standards.
- Strong documentation, organization, and record-keeping skills for audit and compliance readiness.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, materials classification, and stock reconciliation processes.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices applicable to warehouse operations.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or inventory control role, preferably in a technical, maritime, or energy sector environment.
