Elite DNA Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Credentialing Specialist to join our Credentialing Team in our Fort Myers office. This is a critical role that helps ensure compliance and continuity of care across all our locations. The position is in-office for the first 6 months, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule thereafter.
Our Credentialing Team plays a vital role in ensuring that our clinical staff – including therapists and psychiatric providers – are properly credentialed and enrolled with the appropriate entities to provide services legally and efficiently.
This position will focus on location-based credentialing and site approvals, particularly through AHCA and Medicaid. The role includes managing location setup, coordinating with state inspectors, navigating complex online portals, and tracking progress across multiple timelines. This person will also support broader credentialing and provider enrollment work and serve on internal project management teams to support site launches and expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site credentialing and enrollment through AHCA, Medicaid, and other applicable entities.
- Interface with inspectors, government agencies, and credentialing portals to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
- Track and maintain timelines for credentialing projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders on project teams.
- Review and screen initial and reappointment credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Conduct primary source verifications and validate credentialing documents according to internal standards and federal/state requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, time gaps, and other issues that may affect credentialing or enrollment.
- Maintain data integrity by entering and updating provider information in the credentialing database.
- Communicate effectively with providers and leadership regarding credentialing status and requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving credentialing procedures and best practices.
- Stay current on regulatory changes through ongoing professional development.
- Perform additional credentialing or administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred (education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis).
- credentialing experience required, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
- Experience with Medicaid, AHCA, and insurance payer enrollment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with credentialing databases and web portals for payers and state agencies.
- Strong project coordination and time management skills.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and credentialing databases.
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $23.00 to $28.00 per hour, (flexible depending on experience).
