The Organization

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 800+ individuals working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.


The Position and Job Summary  

ACRC is seeking a Training Specialist for its Sacramento office. The purpose of Alta California Regional Center’s (ACRC) Training Specialist position is to design, develop, and deliver training programs, curriculum, and tools needed to prepare and equip staff to meet the needs of Clients and ACRC. Specifically, this role:

  • Coordinates New Employee Orientation and onboarding.
  • Develops, delivers, and coordinates trainings in support of ACRC needs.
  • Administers and maintains the training calendar, catalog, and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Supports conferences, events, and other skill development activities.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Communications, Education, Human Resources, or other related field, with a Master’s degree in any of these fields a plus. At least two years’ experience in developing, analyzing, and measuring classroom and online instructional training programs, along with working with adult learning theory, are required, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of standard office equipment. Experience in Articulate “Storyline” software is preferred. Applicant must have a valid CADL and proof of automobile liability insurance to occasionally travel to other ACRC offices.
