Role Overview
Arcadis Toronto West's transportation team is looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in transportation engineering as it relates to roadway detailed design and traffic staging design. The core of this team's work involves the preparation highway detailed design drawings including production and/or revision of traffic staging drawings. The transportation projects are mainly located in the GTA including BRT, LRT, Municipal and Provincial projects, but also would include projects on other Provinces around Canada.. There is also the potential to gain exposure to other transportation related disciplines such as drainage, structures, landscape, electrical, traffic signals.

Role accountabilities:
- Term: 4 Months beginning in September 2025
- Assisting engineering staff with the following:
- Transportation design with the use of drafting software.
- Preparation of submission packages.
- Technical research involving various roadway design manuals.
- Aid in coordination between other engineering disciplines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program with a focus in transportation engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings is an asset.
- Experience with the following software packages is an asset: Office 365 Applications (Excel, Word), Revu Bluebeam.
- Experience with Microstation and Autocad is an asset.
- A vehicle with a valid driver license is an asset as it is a hybrid work-from-home position.
