HVAC Technician

In addition to meeting the requirements of the General Maintenance Mechanic, this position is required to perform repairs and maintenance functions and evaluate the effectiveness of all HVAC equipment, controls and related systems including but not limited to air handlers, package heat/cool units, heat pumps, refrigerators, ice machines and the HVAC pneumatic control system in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires the individual to perform repair and maintenance function in patient rooms, offices, other assigned areas of the hospital as well as float to support off site Hospital owned properties.

Please note the following important details regarding this role:

  • This posting is for multiple openings of a HVAC Technician
  • This is an onsite role that will report into the hospital daily, as scheduled.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends & holidays as scheduled
  • Work Status Available:
    • Full Time, Day
  • Shift Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, Rotate every 5th weekend Subject to change. 

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: One to two years of formal training in mechanical or construction trades.
  • Upon hire: National EPA Section 608 Certification - State County City Trade License Authority.
  • 2 years HVAC operations and associated systems and equipment in an industrial institutional environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  •  Hospital experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
