The Patient Services Specialist performs daily new referral patient benefits verification.  Obtain all necessary authorization for all services being performed. Notification of financial responsibility to all patient's / responsible party prior to services being rendered. Mailing of all responsible party cost letters. Assure all Medicare non-covered services have a signed "Advance Beneficiary Notification" on file. All self pay, deductible, co-insurance, Medi-Cal share of cost has been properly collected prior to services. Obtain initial financial information to qualify patients for pharmaceutical reimbursement programs and all other charitable programs. Prioritizing all tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years Experience in healthcare or insurance carrier setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Home health agency/home infusion experience.
  • Upon hire: Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse License.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
