Environmental Services Assistant (Back of House) - Chantry Place

Purpose of the Role

At Chantry Place we aim to be East Anglia’s premier shopping destination creating a environment that surpasses the aspirations of our visitors.

The purpose of the Environmental Services Assistant (back of house) role is to work with other team members to ensure that our waste is segregated correctly.

You will be responsible for the day to day cleanliness of the service yard ensuring your area is safe for all colleagues and tenants. You will be expected to present a professional, friendly image at all times. You will have the ability to work both individually and within a team.

You will be capable of carrying out your duties without constant supervision and be proactive in ensuring your area of responsibility meets the highest possible standards of cleanliness and safety.

Whilst it would be ideal for you to have previous experience within a commercial cleaning role, we will provide full and ongoing training to all our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with retailers to drive waste segregation at source,
• Help support with the collecting and sorting waste into appropriate waste streams.
• Deliver world class service to our tenants, customers and your colleagues
• Have pride in your own appearance and the centre. You must be aware of your own responsibilities and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

• Dedicated enthusiastic team player with a strong eye for detail
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• Cleaning related qualifications (BICs)
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £26,208 per annum
