Description

As the Shop Foreman, you will oversee the daily operations of the service department. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for inventory management, equipment maintenance, and compliance with industry regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of automotive service technicians
  • Assign work orders and monitor technician performance
  • Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance services
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and customer information
  • Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies
  • Inspect and maintain service equipment
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician Manager or similar role
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive problems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using automotive diagnostic equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes dirty environment
  • Ability to use hand tools and other equipment
