Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Financial Analyst II at our Overland Park, KS location.

The Financial Analyst II will have responsibility for administration of the company’s primary financial reporting system (Oracle), including daily maintenance/uploads, periodic modifications to structure, and verification of accuracy of data produced from the system. This role will also assist with executing the annual budget at the cost center and GL account level, with responsibility for ensuring assumptions and output are properly reflected in the system.

This role has the option for a full-time or hybrid remote status.

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing core financial reporting system, Oracle
Continuous evaluation of opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting
Model and input detailed financial budgets and forecasts for assigned departments and analyze results
Execute monthly analysis of operating results in comparison to budget
Produce monthly Senior Leadership financial report package, including review of output to ensure accuracy of data provided to Senior Leadership
Produce quarterly Board of Directors financial report package, including review of output to ensure accuracy of data provided to the Board
Maintain existing ad hoc reports, develop new reports as needed
Gather various data points from multiple sources and aggregate into reports/analytics used for monthly executive meetings and quarterly board meetings
Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA a plus.
Experience working with databases and query experience, experience with Oracle strongly preferred
Strong MS Excel skills, emphasis on financial modeling.
Critical thinking skills.
Two to four years of Finance experience, with emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, & variance analysis.
Banking background preferred, but not required.
Working knowledge of all other Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer.
