About the Role

Tides Medical is seeking an enthusiastic and driven IT Intern to support our growing technology environment. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of Information Technology, including service desk operations, systems administration, data management, and enterprise application support.

Working alongside a dynamic IT team, interns will gain exposure to real-world tools and technologies used in healthcare and business operations, while building foundational skills that support future career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic IT support and assist with end-user service requests
• Help document, test, and validate technology processes and system changes
• Support IT staff in daily operations, project tasks, and technology rollouts
• Assist in data-related activities such as cleansing, validation, and reporting
• Participate in system access management and identity-related tasks
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
• Shadow IT professionals across multiple disciplines including security, infrastructure, and applications

Focus Areas May Include

• IT Service Management – Assist with troubleshooting, ticket handling, and support documentation
• Enterprise Systems – Gain exposure to tools like Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, and cloud-based platforms
• Data & Reporting – Support development and maintenance of dashboards and analytics tools
• Security & Access Control – Learn about identity management, secure access, and best practices in cybersecurity
• Project Support – Collaborate on technology initiatives that align with organizational goals

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong interest in enterprise technology, systems, or data
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team setting
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft tools or general technology support is a plus
• Eligible for school credit if applicable

Work Environment

Physical demands:

• Must be able to stand for the full duration of a shift
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
• Must be able to write clearly and legibly
