As part of the Innovetive Petcare network, we offer access to professional development, mentorship, and a strong support system designed to help you thrive in your veterinary career.Our outpatient technicians and assistants play a vital front-line role in supporting patients as they enter and exit our emergency and specialty care hospital. This full-time position is best suited for someone who enjoys client interaction, patient care, and multi-tasking across departments.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and assist with triage intake and patient history gathering
Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all temperaments for exams and diagnostics
Assist with outpatient treatments such as administering medications, SQ fluids, and routine blood draws
Support specialty services with appointment preparation, patient handoffs, and follow-up care
Provide discharge instructions and educate clients on at-home care, medications, and follow-up
Perform basic diagnostics (e.g., bloodwork prep, fecal/urinalysis sample collection, radiology support)
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized outpatient exam rooms and treatment areas
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records and communication with doctors
Partner with doctors, technicians, and CSRs to ensure smooth appointment flow and excellent client service

🎯 Desired Qualifications

1+ year of experience in a veterinary setting (general practice, ER, or specialty preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
LVMT preferred but not required; assistants with strong technical skills and growth mindset welcome
Comfortable in a client-facing role, with excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of restraint, patient handling, and outpatient care protocols
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
Experience with veterinary software and EMR systems (e.g., eVet, Avimark, or similar) is a plus
