Mobile Medical Radiation Technologist

We are currently seeking an experienced permanent, full-time Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our Mobile X-Ray team based out of our Health Clinic at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Healthcare Services, you will be responsible for providing mobile x-ray services to clients in the community, ensuring high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner. The position requires maintaining mobile x-ray equipment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis.
• Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
• Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to all Acts, Regulations, and policies of St. Michael’s HealthCare Services and ensure compliance with Radiation Health and Safety.
• Provide patient-centered care and maintain regulatory and administrative standards.
• Promote mobile x-ray services by delivering excellent customer service.
• Clean and maintain mobile x-ray equipment and client contact surfaces.
• Assess client needs and adjust procedures as required.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
• Current registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists.
• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

 

All successful candidates must have, prior to start date:

• A current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
• A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
