About The Role

The Support Services Manager leads the Intake Specialist team and  oversees the management of intake processes and case management  for mental health and inclusion supports in Kidango classrooms. This position requires expertise in early childhood mental health, mental health consultation, and inclusion services  in order to support Intake Specialists with connecting the right supports with classrooms and children in need.  The Support Services Manager helps ensure children and staff  are provided the support they need in a timely way, and manages  the collection and reporting of data that informs the impact of support services.   The Support Services Manager requires a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented approach to driving excellence  while positioning the organization for sustainable growth and success. This role also requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional leadership and management  skills, and a commitment to advancing the organization's mission.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversees operations and  performance oversight for the intake of mental health and inclusion support services.
  • Supports Intake Specialists with matching challenges brought by center-staff with the support services teams.
  • Manages intake assessments and for planning and overseeing intake to ensure timely completion.
  • Manages continuous quality improvement of intake processes.
  • Builds a high performing team of Intake Specialists.   
  • Assists with staffing coordination, scheduling, and timecard management.
  • Builds positive relationships with center staff and support team staff.
  • Provides advocacy, linkage and support to clients to assist them in accessing assistance for basic needs
  • Able to keep the organization’s “core hours” and work with the leadership team to set a schedule of services. (could be a calendar of services).
  • Manages and ensures timely updates of service impact data.
  • Interacts with a diverse group of clients and represents Kidango in a professional manner.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with other community agencies.
  • Advocates on behalf of all children, families, and agency  staff of agency.
  • Provides excellent customer service to staff, clients and contacts of the agency.
  • Participates in activities that further own professional growth.
  • Works as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission, vision and values  of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • BA in child psychology, child development, special education or a related field with minimum two (2) years supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • Able to provide leadership, accept responsibility, work independently and set own goals in a professional manner.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.  Detail oriented. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to use Google Suite and computerized data bases, web based preferred.
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work within the organization's core work hours and schedule as assigned by the manager, including the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work during the organization’s core work hours and be flexible in work schedule including some evenings and weekends; travel as needed to agency, community and state functions.

 

Compensation$124,490$124,490 USD

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a health screening and TB test 
  • Must pass background fingerprint clearance 
  • Valid Driver License 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • The ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job duties
