Overview
Our Ideal candidate is a highly-skilled, detail-oriented person who excels at multitasking. This person will act as a point of contact between the different parts of the organization and external parties involved in the financial reporting process (legal, tax, auditors, etc.). This role may handle or assist in a range of tasks including technical accounting, preparing SEC filings, preparing and reviewing internal management reports, budgeting/forecasting, audits and compliance. For this role, one must be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy. We are looking for a highly motivated, eager-to-learn individual who can help streamline and improve our processes as we grow and scale.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparation and review of reporting documents in accordance with GAAP, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, and internal monthly reports
- Prepare footnote support schedules, tie-out support for reports and complete and review of disclosure checklists
- Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting memos
- Collaborate with the general accounting team to complete month-end close and prepare corporate financial reports for internal analysis and external publication
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulations
- Work closely with external auditors to manage the financial quarterly review and annual audit process
- Provide financial analysis including explanations of variances between actual and budget/prior period
- Ensure internal controls over financial reporting, including disclosure controls and procedures, are adequate and operating effectively
- Participate in monthly/quarterly financial close review meetings to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting
- Participate in evaluation and implementation of new FASB accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or related field
- CPA and public accounting experience required (Big 4 preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, financial reporting, accounting or similar role
- Sense of urgency and deadline orientation
- Excellent MS Office and Google Suite proficiency
- Experience utilizing Oracle NetSuite and Workiva preferred
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit or stand intermittently for the duration of a shift (8-12 hours)
- Push/pull/lift up to 25 pounds

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant licenses or certifications.
