About the role

The Al Meylas Lounge Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as light food items, while delivering exceptional customer service in a warm and welcoming environment.

What you will do

Main Duties/Description:
1.    Operate tea/ coffee making equipment and prepare and present beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards
2.    Develops an understanding of coffee and tea regions and the various differences in flavor and blends. Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
3.    Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards and follows all drink recipes and procedures.
4.    Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items to guests.
5.    Orders, receives, and stocks supplies or retail products; monitors and orders inventory. Restocks shelves when necessary.
6.    Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
7.    Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
8.    Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in food preparation & service, and takes an active role in implementing safety procedures and following up within the department.
9.    Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
10.    Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Outlet Manager or Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.

What you bring
•    A minimum of at least 2 years of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand

•    An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task 

•    High level of understanding and knowledge of F&B operations

•    Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)

•    Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
