The Opportunity:
Recreation Assistant Manager
Who We Look For:
The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the Recreation Department. This position supports the Department Manager in ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and a positive team culture. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, support team development, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the execution of daily operations, ensuring high service standards are met.
Foster a guest-focused environment and serve as a point of contact for escalated concerns.
Collaborate with the Manager in training and coaching team members to uphold brand standards and policies.
Ensure department spaces are clean, organized, and set for success at all times.
In addition, the Assistant Manager will assist in the following areas of the department:
Writing and administering performance reviews to support employee development and accountability.
Ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining alignment with the departmental budget.
Supporting the planning, coordination, and hosting of departmental events and activations.
Creating and implementing elevated offerings to enhance guest experience and service differentiation.
Assisting with scheduling, labor forecasting, and overall labor management to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, recreation, or a related field.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and deliver exceptional guest service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays as needed.
A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
