About the role:
As Store Manager, you will oversee the daily retail, recycling, and administrative operations of the Coolum Family Store, ensuring all activities align with the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
How you will make an impact:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring optimal retail performance, including stock rotation, visual merchandising, pricing compliance, and overall store presentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment for all customers and stakeholders.
- Accurately price, display, and remove stock in accordance with TSA guidelines; actively market products to maximise sales.
- Ensure efficient handling and rotation of incoming and outgoing stock, while implementing relevant promotions.
- Maintain financial accountability, including cash handling and banking procedures, in line with TSA policies.
- Uphold and monitor store security and safety measures.
What you will be bring:
- A strong alignment with and commitment to the values and mission of The Salvation Army.
- Proven experience in retail management, ideally in a community-focused or not-for-profit environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to support and motivate a team of volunteers.
- A current valid driver’s licence.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
