Berth Planner Intern, Ocean Fulfilment

Purpose (why the position exists):

· Learn the dynamics of Port operation and gather solid shipping knowledge by

handling the day-to-day execution in an empowered set-up with accountabil-

ity for delivering at times stretch targets.

· Improve on critical skills such as execution/delivery management, process

improvement, interpersonal communication, analytical skills and participating

in decision making to optimize service results and drive customer outcomes.

· Be part of an experienced, diversified and inclusive team cross borders and

engage with different culture and background.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist Berth Planning Manager or senior berth planner for the most optimal

and economical way, for the assigned port.

· Improve port efficiency and reduce overall operational cost.

· Support ships to fulfil planned port activities including bunkering, sludge op-

erations, medical services, crew change, repair and provision etc.

· Manages all ETA communication to vessels within a specific area of responsi-

bility.

· Plans and communicates short and long-term schedules to vessels and other

stakeholders.

· Participates in contingency planning.

· Uses frontline and terminal, fleet, and vessel command knowledge and exper-

tise to enhance processes and port optimization.

· Identifies and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of

working.

· Ensure company procedures and guidelines are effectively communicated and

implemented.
