Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Onboarding plan, and proceed with vendor Onboarding (Maersk ways of working, tools)
  • Create local vendor onboarding packages.
  • Vendor compliance to Maersk Operational standards follow up (digitization, provide visibility, data exchange, invoice template and controls, AOP)
  • Sanity checks before supplier enrollment and annual audit for qualification and compliance.
  • Establish an operational partnership with our vendors.
  • Ensure vendor allocation is performed correctly, challenge Delivery team and if needed Procurement in case of deviation on weekly basis.
  • Scorecard weekly compliance and performance study.
  • Perform cost analysist a weekly basis (I.e., are we using the right vendors as per costs applied).
  • Implement and drive weekly MOS with internal stakeholders (refer to What/How below).
  • Follow up on Area/Country scorecard and implemented actions (in coordination with all stakeholders).
  • Attend new TMS release trainings and cascade down to dispatchers and vendors if needed.
  • Overall vendor management outcomes in Country and Area sharing with the Area Delivery Manager and Supplier Operational Manager to ensure Vendor Operations capabilities are in place.
  • Periodic operational review with vendors
  • Stay close to dispatchers to understand the day-to-day challenges
  • Implement HSSE follow up file/tool to provide visibility and request vendor to comply.
  • Follow up on vendor disputes, investigate the root causes and implement solutions (in coordination with all internal stakeholder-refer to What/ How)
  • Coordinate and prepare ad-hoc capacity in peak seasons in close alignment with Procurement
  • Ensure the invoicing performed by the vendor and final payment is processed inatimely manner.
  • Provide market and operational insights during the tender season (contract renewal).

Who We Are Looking For

  • Have at least 05 years of experience in Transportation Vendor Management or Procurement Management. Candidates who have logistics or supply chain management experience will have an advantage.
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of the Thailand logistics market.
  • Have strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Have an Entrepreneurial mindset to quickly convert difficulties into business opportunities.
  • Ability to lead and influence people, including senior leaders. 
  • Ability to operate successfully in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders across several levels.
  • Ability to prepare and execute a business plan to run a large operation with variable demands.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
  • Acquire a good understanding of the market dynamics and challenges with a constant solution mindset orientation.
  • High understanding of local regulation and HSSE compliance.
