We’re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Associate / Associate Director, Credit Trading to join our dynamic Fixed Income & Currency (FIC) Trading Credit Desk.
This role is pivotal in market-making, risk management, and client engagement across a diverse range of credit products and derivatives. You’ll be part of a team known for its reliability and resilience in liquidity provisioning, even during challenging market conditions. Your impact will be felt through pricing, risk management, and strategic growth of our business and global credit book.
Your Role
Price making, risk management, marketing and growing the Asia Local CCY (focus) & USD Credit business.
What You’ll Do:
- Trading and Risk Management of Credit products with the objective of meeting team and business revenue targets.
- Assist other team members with the price making and risk management of other portfolios, with specific focus on overnight USD Credit.
- Work to continually improve and build the broader Credit Trading teams pricing, analytics and risk management infrastructure by utilising your Quantitative background and programming skills.
- Assist with the development of and expand on our e-trading/e-delivery capabilities
- Work closely with business partners and end to end business stakeholders, offshore and domestically, to achieve business development and revenue targets.
- Maintain sound risk management practices and compliance with delegations
- Actively gather, maintain and report knowledge of industry and market conditions, understand the financial impacts and proactively respond to client needs.
- Understand GM products inclusive of product enhancements, changes and competitive information.
- Maintain a continuous improvement approach for product, people, process and systems. Recommend and influence improvement opportunities.
- Own client complaints until resolved, and ensure these are managed in line with Bank and GM policy
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrable ability to understand risk and recognise good financial outcomes.
- In depth knowledge of Global financial markets and products
- Inherent ability to understand risk, and recognise good trading outcomes
- Strong revenue generation track record
- Minimum 3-7 Years Experience on Global Trading Desks
- Proven commitment to comply with regulations, policies and process
- Analytical with strong problem solving, numerical and verbal reasoning skills
- Strong track record in trading large portfolios with a preference for experience in multiple currencies
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills – a dealing room is a busy and loud workplace. Excellent verbal and written communication is a critical success factor.
- Ideally Proficient with programming in languages such as Python, Java or C.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, with a high degree of flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline(s) such as: Finance/Mathematics/Economic/Engineering/Computer Science/Psychology
- Appropriate industry qualifications to deal Markets products.
