About the role and the team
The Private Banking operation is a core component of Deutsche Bank and provides access to the full range of the firm’s services. As a global, multi-jurisdictional Private Bank, we offer dedicated and holistic solutions to (Ultra) High-Net-Worth Individuals. With our superior lending, FX and fixed income capabilities combined with full transparent access to global markets as well as deep institutional research and industry insights, we have a strong position as a bank for family entrepreneurs.
As a Relationship Manager of the German Speaking Part of Switzerland team you are responsible to acquire new clients, build a book and serve the acquired clients from a Wealth Management and broader banking perspective. You are part of a highly dynamic team and play an instrumental role in executing our growth strategy targeting Swiss (U)HNW clients (onshore), Single/Multi Family Offices, Foundations and Pension Funds.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new banking relationships with Swiss HNW/UHNWIs, Single/Multi Family Offices, Foundations and Pension Funds
Gather information about target clients and build a high-quality pipeline
Ensure a smooth client on-boarding experience in terms of legal and compliance requirements and collaborate closely with your Client Service Executives and any other internal support functions
Prepare meetings and/or calls with clients and prospective clients to discuss our holistic private banking offering
Actively involve dedicated Investment Advisors and other product specialists if applicable
Only offer products and services which are in-line with the client’s suitability assessment and regulatory environment
Participate in Target Setting process to ensure any financial goals are achievable and met by the end of the assessment period
Ensure proper recording of relevant data in our IT system
Required Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (ideally in business administration, finance or economics)
7 to 10 years of financial services experience as a Relationship Manager, preferably in the HNW/UHNWI segment
Sound understanding of the Swiss private banking market as well as the current business, economic and political developments
Complete understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements in marketing the Private Bank’s products and services
Distinguished sales and marketing abilities
Strong and natural interest in financial markets
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a vibrant environment and dealing with multiple requests at the same time
Strong numerical capabilities, quick and ambitious learner
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
Good skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
How you will lead
In your role as a Relationship Manager, you are expected to interact with various stakeholders within Deutsche Bank (Suisse) SA
You communication style with all involved stakeholders is always precise, transparent, honest and respectful
The most regular interactions take place with the Account Managers (AM). Therefore, a well-functioning cooperation with this stakeholder group is essential for operational excellence and business success
There is also regular collaboration with the Investment Managers (IM). The candidate is expected to involve the IMs at an early stage and understands exactly what the customer is asking for on the investment side
Inquiries from any other stakeholders such as HR, Legal & Compliance must be processed within one working day
