Drive rapid recovery during incidents through deep technical engagement, facilitating decision-making, rollback strategies, and coordination with engineering teams.
Leverage AI/ML to improve incident detection, response consistency, postmortem automation, and trend analysis.
Partner with engineering teams to conduct post-incident reviews, identify root causes, and drive long-term architectural and process improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve observability, alerting, and resiliency engineering practices.
Advocate for and enforce best practices around on-call operations, SLO adherence, and production readiness.
Develop and maintain highly impacting incident playbooks, escalation paths, and training to improve incident readiness.
Supervise a team of incident response engineers, and scale the function based on evolving business needs.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or production operations roles.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate critical incident response in large-scale distributed systems.
Experience building or maintaining monitoring and alerting for the overall health of our products and services.
Interest on implementing AI/ML tools or automation in production operations.
Strong architectural understanding of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly with executives and engineers alike.
Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and a bias to action.
Deep empathy for customer experience and an obsession with continuous improvement.
History of reducing incident recurrence through preventative engineering and process design.
Comfortable driving technical alignment across cross-functional teams.
