<div class="benefits"> <div><strong>Benefits:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Dental insurance</li> <li>Health insurance</li> <li>Vision insurance</li> </ul> </div> <div class="trix-content"> <div> <strong>Title:</strong> Home Director I</div><div> <strong>Reports To:</strong> Program Supervisor</div><div> <strong>Classification: </strong>Full-Time</div><div> <strong>FLSA Status:</strong> Exempt</div><div> <strong>Created:</strong> October 1, 2021</div><div> <br><br><br> </div><div><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Responsible for all the operations of the community home under the general direction of the program supervisor.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>Directs the overall operations and programming of one (1) community home.</li> <li>Oversees the work performance of all direct care staff.<ul> <li>Create and maintain a staff schedule, ensuring it is communicated and published in a timely manner.</li> <li>Collect, assimilate, approve, and submit all appropriate documentation for payroll processing.</li> <li>Complete annual performance evaluations.</li> <li>Ensure that all policies, rules, and regulations are followed and establish a resolution, including the administration of discipline, corrections, and reinforcements as required.</li> <li>Conduct staff meetings and provide training when necessary.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Responsible for the health and welfare of individual(s) served.<ul> <li>Schedule necessary medical appointments.</li> <li>Advocate for the individual(s) served rights when appropriate.</li> <li>Schedule activities for individual(s) served. </li> <li>Ensure fire and evacuation procedures are up-to-date and train accordingly.</li> <li>Enhance the quality of life for the individual(s) served. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Participate in the selection, placement, and training of new staff.</li> <li>Manages all care and maintenance of buildings and grounds for the community home.</li> <li>Schedule and ensure vehicle maintenance is completed.</li> <li>Responsible for the overall financial success of the community home(s).<ul> <li>Maintain finances within the assigned budget.</li> <li>Manage assigned petty cash.</li> <li>Process all invoices and submit them to the home office promptly and on time.</li> <li>Keep overtime to a minimum.</li> <li>Ensure all house inventories (food, supplies, clothing) are complete and proper amounts are available as needed.</li> <li>Ensure all efforts are made to maintain responsible utility, repair, and transportation expenses.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure compliance with standards for the annual survey.</li> <li>Prepare and submit all required documents in a timely manner (i.e., program notes, invoices/bills, state-required documents, payroll, and individual(s) served financial information).</li> <li>Oversee individual(s) served finances and ensure all policies and procedures are followed in the administration of such.</li> <li>Maintain relationships with the families of each individual served and work to ensure the best outcome. </li> <li>Serve as a role model for both the individual(s) served and the staff.</li> <li>Follow and enforce all policies and procedures of Evergreen.</li> <li>All other duties as assigned.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>CORE COMPETENCIES</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li> <strong>Acting Strategically:</strong> Identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving goals and commits to a course of action to accomplish goals based on known and unknown variables. Effectively organizes and balances tasks and priorities to keep multiple projects on track.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.</li> <li>CMA certification within two (2) years of being in the home director position.</li> <li>Three (3) years of direct support experience and some supervisory experience preferred.</li> <li>Ability to communicate well in both written and oral forms.</li> <li>Good organizational skills with an eye for detail.</li> <li>Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.</li> <li>Must be adaptable and have good decision-making skills.</li> <li>Working knowledge of basic computer applications, with the aptitude to learn additional software and programs.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>Constantly moves about to coordinate work.</li> <li>Routinely works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.</li> <li>Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds. </li> <li>Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.</li> <li>Constantly alert and observant during working hours.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities or medical conditions to perform the essential functions.</div><div> </div><div><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>Will supervise a minimum of six (6) employees.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.</li> <li>Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.</li> <li>Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.</li> <li>Must be able to prioritize work tasks.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Google Workspace.</li> <li>Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. </li> <li>Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check. </li> <li>Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>May be required to work in a variety of settings and environments, both indoors and outdoors. </li></ul> </div>
