Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver food to residents and guests and take individual food orders from residents and guests as needed
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors and staff
- Assist in the preparation of meals and special events as needed
- Clean dishes and equipment, maintain a clean kitchen workspace, and adhere to cleaning schedules and infection control procedures
- Assist with all logs for food and equipment, cleaning, and in-services, as well as OSHA and other compliance logs
- Receive deliveries
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and kneel occasionally throughout an 8-hour work day
- Attendance/punctuality: must be able to work 8-hour days, possibly weekends, between the hours of 7 a.m.-6 p.m. at least 5 days a week and occasionally be able to work up to 60 hours in a week if needed
Education/Qualifications:
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Previous experience in food preparation and health care settings preferred but not required
- Must have a passion for serving seniors
- Strong customer service orientation
- High school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
- Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines
