The Senior Manager of IT Business Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing key Business IT procurement activities. These activities will include onboarding, maintenance, renewal and retirement stages of the software procurement lifecycle, computer hardware procurement, and driving consolidation across the company of enterprise software vendors and tooling. This role also ensures seamless integration of relevant workflows related to these activities with enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. This leader partners closely with IT, Finance, Security, Legal, Procurement and other business stakeholders to support technology investments that align with organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead key procurement processes for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budget, and compliance, while working closely with Procurement where appropriate on the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
  • Account for the successful onboarding of enterprise software tools into the Fullsteam ecosystem, including involvement of the appropriate stakeholders, and documentation of software onboarding playbooks.
  • Manage key vendor relationships across hardware and software domains, fostering strong partnerships and performance accountability.
  • Work where appropriate to manage complex enterprise software licensing and subscription agreements, including renewals, amendments, and enterprise-wide deployments.
  • Drive vendor and tooling consolidation efforts to reduce cost, eliminate redundancy, and streamline IT operations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance teams to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement vendor performance metrics, SLAs, and regular business reviews.
  • Integrate relevant IT procurement workflows into ServiceNow, enhancing visibility, approval flows, asset tracking, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide IT procurement governance, best practices, and training to IT and business teams.
  • Forecast and manage the IT procurement budget in collaboration with Finance and department leaders.
  • Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices in IT sourcing and vendor management.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of IT procurement processes, contract management, and vendor lifecycle management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing complex enterprise-level licensing and subscription models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise ITSM platforms, especially ServiceNow, and experience integrating procurement workflows.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to manage budgets, evaluate total cost of ownership, and assess vendor performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive operational improvements and influence organizational change.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, or IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience negotiating enterprise software and hardware agreements.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management, software licensing, and sourcing strategies.
  • PMP, ITIL, or relevant procurement certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) are a plus.
