About This Opportunity  

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Outreach and Culture, the Senior Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving cyber security engagement and education across the organisation. The primary focus of the role is to lead and manage the Cyber Security Internship Program, while also coordinating broader awareness and training initiatives to uplift cyber security capability. The role sits within a collaborative and dynamic team dedicated to fostering a strong security culture through innovative outreach, effective communication, and strategic engagement.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, deliver, and manage all aspects of the Cyber Security Internship Program, ensuring alignment with learning and development goals.

  • Lead the development and implementation of engaging cyber security training and awareness initiatives, including seminars, workshops, and webinars.

  • Coordinate Cyber Security Awareness Month activities and support change management efforts related to new security policies.

  • Create and maintain digital and print awareness materials, manage content across online platforms, and evaluate engagement efforts to inform future improvements.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering projects or programs, including effective planning, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Proven ability to design, organise, and facilitate training sessions, workshops, or outreach events for a variety of audiences.

  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, risks, and compliance requirements, with the ability to communicate these effectively.

  • High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex or technical content to non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability, with a capacity to work independently and adapt to changing project needs.

  • Proficiency in a range of digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft 365, CRMs, learning management systems, and eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise.

 

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, AHPRA registration, mandatory immunisations, first aid and/or CPR certification, blue card check, etc.
