Role and Responsibilities:
Raw Material Inventory Management
- Manage and schedule the receiving of delivered material from vendors not only in the US but globally
- Monitor, control, and maintain optimal raw material inventory levels in conjunction with factory plan and release request
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts and report monthly inventory counts
- Ensure FIFO (first-in, first-out) or FEFO (first-expired, first-out) principles are being applied consistently
- Minimize expired inventory
Warehouse Operation Oversight
- Oversee receiving, storage, and issuance of raw materials
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and ensure accurate documentation (GRN, delivery notes)
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored under appropriate conditions
System & Utility Management
- Maintain accurate inventory data in ERP/WMS systems
- Troubleshoot system discrepancies and support data accuracy improvements
- Manage consumable items, equipment, and utilities
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse workflows and propose improvement initiatives
- Implement lean practices and 5S principles in the warehouse
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams for timely supply of materials
- Participate in cross-functional meetings regarding material planning and usage
- Achieve, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Confer with other managers or global staff to coordinate activities in related departments
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Korean language proficiency required (many vendors are located in Korea)
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' experience in warehouse and/or material management (preferably in manufacturing)
- Fluent in MES/WMS
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Firm understanding of inventory control concepts (EOQ, safety stock, ABC analysis, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy/precision
- Critical thinking skills and ability to research and understand legal and financial implications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the automotive or chemical manufacturing industries
- Experience working with and maintaining Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
