About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned design leader to serve as Director UI/UX Design, responsible for shaping the end-to-end experience across Aptia’s digital products. This role leads the evolution of our core design system, web/mobile platform UI, and cross-product user interactions.

As a key member of the product leadership team, you will drive design vision and ensure we deliver intuitive, consistent, and accessible experiences across a growing platform ecosystem. This is a pivotal role in bringing the Aptia experience to life - and raising the bar for design in benefits technology. This is a hybrid role based out of our new Lake Mary, FL office for a minimum of three days in office a week.

What you'll be doing

• Define and drive Aptia’s UI/UX design strategy across web and mobile, ensuring a cohesive, modern, and user-centered platform experience

• Evolve and govern Aptia’s design system, scaling consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across products

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations to translate user insights into thoughtful and scalable design solutions across our products

• Establish and champion user research and testing practices to validate ideas and guide experience improvements

• Embed inclusive design principles and accessibility standards into every touchpoint

• Influence product roadmap and prioritization by advocating for design excellence, usability, and user impact

• Contribute to the strategic evolution of Aptia’s platform and brand—helping us reimagine what a world-class benefits experience can be

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in digital product design, including at least 3 years in a leadership role

• Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, platform-scale UI/UX, and elegant interaction design

• Experience building and evolving design systems used across enterprise or modular platforms

• Proven ability to align design strategy with business and product goals in a fast-paced environment

• Expertise in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms

• Deep knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design principles

• Collaborative, outcomes-oriented mindset with a track record of cross-functional influence

• Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, benefits, health tech, or highly regulated industries
