9421 - Oracle Software Developer - Oracle APEX & ORDS

<p>Must Haves:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Application Development: </strong>Designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Oracle APEX, a low-code development platform. Proven experience in developing applications using Oracle APEX. Experience with advanced APEX features like interactive reports, charts, and dynamic actions. </li> <li><strong>Backend Integration: </strong>Utilizing Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) to create RESTful APIs for accessing and manipulating data in the Oracle database.  Solid understanding of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and its capabilities. </li> <li><strong>Security: </strong>Ensuring the security of the Oracle APEX platform and the applications built upon it.  Knowledge of security best practices for web applications. </li> <li><strong>Cloud experience:</strong> Familiarity with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)</li> <li>Strong ability to work with technical and non-technical team mates.</li> <li>Troubleshooting and Support: Identifying and resolving issues within the application and its underlying infrastructure.</li> </ul>   <p>General Skills</p> <p> </p> <p>• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices</p> <p>• Experience with middleware and gateways</p> <p>• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging</p> <p>• Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues</p> <p>• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team</p> <p>• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA)</p> <p>and related regulations and standards</p> <p>• Ability to provide user and system documentation as required</p> <p>10+ years experience with/related to the following:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Application Development: </strong>Designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Oracle APEX, a low-code development platform. Proven experience in developing applications using Oracle APEX.  Experience with advanced APEX features like interactive reports, charts, and dynamic actions. </li> <li><strong>Backend Integration: </strong>Utilizing Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) to create RESTful APIs for accessing and manipulating data in the Oracle database.  Solid understanding of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and its capabilities. </li> <li><strong>Database Management: </strong>Working with the Oracle database, including data modeling, SQL, and PL/SQL development. Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling. </li> <li><strong>Full SDLC: </strong>Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.  Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies. </li> <li><strong>Security: </strong>Ensuring the security of the Oracle APEX platform and the applications built upon it.  Knowledge of security best practices for web applications. </li> <li><strong>Solution Architecture Analysis and recommendations:</strong> Ability to assess 'as is' state of legacy applications and assist in providing recommendations to a supported 'to be' state.</li> <li><strong>Performance tuning:</strong> Experience with optimizing application performance. </li> <li><strong>Cloud experience:</strong> Familiarity with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). </li> </ul> <p><strong>Analytical, Problem Solving, Communication and Collaboration: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Working closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to build high-quality applications. </li> <li>Strong ability to work with technical and non-technical team mates.</li> <li>Troubleshooting and Support: Identifying and resolving issues within the application and its underlying infrastructure.</li> <li>Self starter with ability to track activities and update work/deliverables on team boards Kanban/DevOps</li> <li>Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Strong ability to document technical procedures and facilitate transition to operations knowledge transfer sessions.</li> <li>Strong record keeping and documentation skills</li> </ul>   <p><br /> <br />  </p>
