About the role:
The Certification Coordinator will manage and ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and certification requirements for longwall underground equipment, with a focus on IECEx and ANZEx standards. This role involves preparing and submitting documentation to certifying bodies, maintaining verification and safety files, and liaising with global certification teams to support new and ongoing certifications across major national projects.
The Certification Coordinator's Key Responsibilities include:
• Managing and coordinating regulatory and statutory compliance for longwall underground equipment in accordance with IECEx and ANZEx certification schemes.
• Compiling, maintaining and submitting verification and safety files for all key national projects, ensuring completeness and alignment with industry standards.
• Overseeing approval processes, including the submission of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) and Declarations of Conformity (DoC) to certifying authorities and regulators.
• Collaborating with the global certification team to support new product supply and obtain supplementary certifications as required.
• Ensuring accurate documentation control and version management for all certification-related materials.
• Monitoring certification status and timelines to ensure projects meet compliance requirements at all stages.
• Providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on certification requirements during product design, manufacture, and delivery.
About you:
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Compliance, or a related technical field.
• Formal training in certification or regulatory compliance is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with IECEx, ANZEx, and related certification frameworks is essential.
Previous Knowledge & Experience:
• Demonstrated experience working in certification coordination or compliance roles within the mining or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong understanding of certification submission processes, documentation requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Experience preparing safety and verification files and managing document control systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Essential Criteria:
• High level of accuracy and accountability in compliance documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to engage with certifying bodies, regulators, and internal teams professionally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel if required for audits or certification support.
• Full NSE/QLD Driver's Licence
