About the role:

The Projects Quality Coordinator will support quality assurance and compliance across major projects by coordinating inspections, documentation control in collation of manufacturing data reports, non-conformance reporting, and root cause analysis. The role ensures that project deliverables meet required standards through thorough auditing, accurate documentation, and collaboration with various internal teams, local and global as part of the HBT group

The Projects Quality Coordinator's Key Responsibilities include:

  • Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) final machine inspections to verify quality and compliance with documentation standards.
  • Identifying rework requirements, recording associated hours and costs for reporting and process improvement.
  • Managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct root cause analysis, and support issue resolution activities.
  • Preparing and managing Work Package documentation to support project delivery and compliance.
  • Maintaining and controlling Business Management System (BMS) documentation to ensure up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Supporting the creation and review of Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) for manufacturing and assembly tasks.
  • Contributing to the development of DRD (Dealer Required Documentation) service literature to support aftermarket service and maintenance.
  • Assisting in Quality Assurance (QA) auditing activities and support external certification requirements.
  • Generating, compiling and submitting manufacturing data reports for all major national projects, ensuring alignment with project milestones and quality metrics.

About you:

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or similar qualification is desirable.
  • Internal auditor training or ISO certification knowledge is highly regarded.

Previous Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in quality coordination or assurance roles within the manufacturing or heavy equipment sectors, particularly in underground mining longwall equipment
  • Strong understanding of inspection processes and compliance documentation in project-based environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with BMS, SWP development, and controlled document systems.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent documentation, organisation, and time management skills.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to project and manufacturing sites as required.
  • Full Driver's Licence (NSW or QLD depending on location).
