Description
Shamrock Roofing is an established roofing and construction company servicing the metro-Kansas City area since 1977. In the last few years, our business has exploded in the Midwest and now servicing areas in Arkansas, Texas, Des Moines, Lincoln, Omaha, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Denver and St. Louis.
We are now looking to fill a Fleet Manager position. This position is responsible for the overall efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of a company's vehicles, including managing vehicle maintenance, driver performance, and compliance with regulations.
Start Date: ASAP
Job Duties May Include:
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
- Working closely with the Compliance Dept to make sure DOT is good
- All other duties assigned by manager
Compensation & Benefits:
- Full-Time In Office Position
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm + an hour for lunch
- Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance after 30 days of employment
- PTO accrual after 30 Days of employment
- 401K after 6 months of employment
- Compensation Range: $50k-$60k based on experience
Requirements
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent goal-setting, motivation and training
- Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
- Basic math and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
- Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed
- Ability to set and monitor a budget
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and titling/registrations a must
