Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking to hire Assembler 2’s for our Charlottesville, VA site.
In this position you will:
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of detailed tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Works from operation sheets, diagrams, and drawings.
- Uses hand and/or power tools, including soldering irons.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- May conduct quality inspections in accordance with specifications.
- Obtains/maintains workmanship certifications.
- Willing to work overtime.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or manufacturing experience.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to lift and move objects, up to 30lbs, from one location to another.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification
- J-STD-001 Certification
