About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Food and Beverage Intern in Jumeirah Olhahali Island. 

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Uphold Jumeirah's values and brand standards, ensuring proactive, timely, and attentive service to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Assist the outlet Manager in organizing daily service operations and schedules to ensure smooth dining experiences for guests.
• Maintain excellent communication with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and coordination during meal periods.
• Ensure that all food and beverage items are prepared, presented, and served according to the highest quality standards.
• Assist in checking and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining areas, ensuring tables are set correctly and ready before guest arrivals.
• Share guest preferences, special requests, and dietary restrictions with the service team to ensure personalized service.
• Assist with inventory control and the timely restocking of food and beverage items as per the restaurant or resort guidelines.
• Respond to requests from guests and management and assist in other areas of the restaurant or bar during busy or emergency times.
• Work with the Front Office and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth coordination for events, special occasions, or group dining reservations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that specific operational or guest requirements are met during service.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

• Fresh graduate with a high school diploma or preferred with completion of a hospitality, or tourism-related course/program.
• Have a strong eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of service.
• Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
