Emergency Technician *Full Time Night*

Emergency technician at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hours Night shifts.

The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).  These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation.  Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.

Required qualifications:

• Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course. Or Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD).
• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred qualifications:

• Coursework/Training in Basis EKG course
• Coursework/Training in California Emergency Medical Technician License. Or
• Coursework/Training California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License. Or 
• Coursework/Training: California Paramedic License.
• upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician License Or
• upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License Or
• upon hire: Paramedic License.
• 1 year EMT experience.
• 1 year Emergency Department experience

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
