Junior Buyer – Aircraft Parts & Maintenance

Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe.

To keep our aircraft flying, we need the right parts, tools, and services—on time and at the right cost. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a junior supply chain professional with an interest in procurement and aviation. This is a hands-on, entry-level role, perfect for someone with 1–2 years of experience in supply chain, buying, or logistics — ideally within a technical or regulated industry.

You’ll help ensure that our aircraft are ready to fly by sourcing critical components, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting our maintenance and engineering teams. If you're organized, solutions-focused, and eager to grow your career in aviation, we want to hear from you.

How will it be to work with us?

Coordinate the procurement of aircraft spare parts — from sourcing with OEMs to supporting urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) needs via platforms like ILS and AMOS.

Support fleet maintenance activities by helping define sourcing strategies: exchange, loan, outright purchase, or part robbing when needed.

Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering teams to forecast demand, track usage, and optimize stock levels.

Ensure on-time delivery for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, managing daily orders and shifting priorities across our base network.

Act as a point of contact with suppliers and logistics partners, focusing on quality, reliability, and long-term relationships.

Handle purchasing for our A32x fleet, contributing to cost efficiency through negotiation and smart planning.

Monitor shipping flows and lead times, suggesting improvements to streamline operations.

What will make you succeed in this position:

🧩 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.

✈ Familiarity with aviation or aerospace is a plus — or a strong desire to learn.

⚙️ Knowledge of platforms like ILS or AMOS is helpful (or willingness to learn).

⏱ Ability to stay organized in fast-paced, high-pressure situations (especially AOG events)

🗣 Fluent in English (French or Italian a bonus!)

🤝 Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
