Small Business Program Manager, Project Manager 1, Office of Small Business Services, PN 20064486

What You Will Do: 

    • You will be responsible for the success of ODOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certification programs
    • You will improve and expand ODOT's certification programs
    • You will communicate and engage with external stakeholders about program updates
    • You will train and manage certification analysts who perform reviews to determine eligibility for certification programs
    • You will review complex files and in-depth letters for accuracy and correctness 
    • You will interpret and apply Federal Regulations

Qualifications

3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one year probationary period.

This position is overtime exempt based on FLSA Standards.

If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. 

This position has been designated as a Career Professional position per the Ohio Revised Code 5501.20.

Background Check:
