GENERAL SUMMARY / MAJOR FUNCTION
The Assistant Director of Nursing is an LPN/LVN who is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of nursing care in the community.

This position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by our Certified Nursing Assistants/Resident Assistants and Nurses.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILLITIES
- Assist in supervising direct nursing care in community.
- Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participants in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, on-call, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
- Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
- Functions as the Director of Nursing in his/her absence.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records, including but not limited to care plans, assessments.
- Notifies physician and family of changes in resident's condition
- Assists DON in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Assists in infection control, safety and pharmacy rounds and audits.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- LPN currently licensed and in good standing in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Senior Care experience with a good understanding of regulations.
